True Analysis of an Asynchronous Serial Link
Serial link passes straight through base unit without retransmission distortion or delay. Captures and stores full duplex data from DTE and DCE ports. Measures serial transceiver voltages to indicate line driver problems. Captured data is stored with precise time-tags, error status, and handshake lines states. Allows a PC to emulate one serial device while capturing the data transaction.
Ease of use
Requires only one USB or COM port to troubleshoot full duplex link. Cables and adaptors included to connect standard 9 and 25 pin DTE/DCE devices. Windows software provided to control base unit, download/analyze captured data, and emulate serial device operation. Base unit connects to host computer by USB (preferred) or standard COM port. Base unit can be powered by USB power or provided AC wall adapter. Data can be exported to most Windows based tools such as Word or Excel. Supports wide range of baud rates, data words, and stop bit configurations. Windows XP/NT/2000 compatible.
